Busy Day At The Market

Hello Everyone,

It was at least warm today. A little muggy but the wet weather is helping our produce thrive. Since the weather has been so good for growing we are now selling Ramps. They are variety of Leek that grow wild in our Door County woods. We got eleven pounds of them in today. They taste kind of like an onion and a garlic clove. They are great on pizza and in spaghetti sauce. One of the girls that works for us thought they tasted just fine all by themselves too.

We lucky to receive more fresh rhubarb and moral mushrooms from Kari today too. She picked them and dropped them off right away. We love being able to sell fresh and local produce. Besides, fresh from the wild or garden always tastes the best.

Around noon today we were also visited by a tour group. They came up to Door County just for the day. Most of them are visiting from Illinois and are staying at the Oneida Casino in Green Bay. They were talking about how they hope to win big tonight at the casino. We wish all of you the best of luck!
